Residence Programme

Nordea-fonden's Residence Programme runs six apartments available to universities, cultural institutions and organisations aiming at attracting highly qualified researchers, artists, cultural personalities and experts from abroad.

The Residence Programme aims to attract individuals whose knowledge, inspiration, ideas and talents will enrich the Danish society.

The programme runs six apartments at Heerings Gaard in the historic and picturesque Christianshavn area of Copenhagen. The apartments are available to universities, cultural institutions and organisations aiming at attracting highly qualified researchers, artists, cultural personalities and experts from abroad.

It is possible to apply for housing for periods of three to 12 months.

There are four apartments suitable for families and two studio apartments. Entrance from Overgaden Neden Vandet 11 or from Wildersgade 16.

Who is qualified?

Guests must be highly qualified, have a documented track record of significant achievements recognised by their peers and undertake activities during their stay that will have an impact on a substantial number of people. Researchers must be above postdoctoral level. Applications will be evaluated by a nominating committee consisting of professor Søren Peter Olesen, University of Copenhagen, professor David Lando, Copenhagen Business School, director Mikkel Harder Munck-Hansen.

The assessment of applications includes the above criteria, the programme of the stay and the host's/institution's merits.

Application procedure and deadline

The application must be submitted by the Danish body or organisation hosting the guest during the stay.

All apartments are occupied till the summer 2012.

The next ordinary application deadline for the academic year 2012/2013 was 12 March 2012. Replies are given 20  April 2012.
